Well, It's the last week of October and we're out on the road again. I spent the morning packing up, Headed out some time shortly after noon, and arrived here at our Primary 1st stop, Maumelle Park on the banks of the Arkansas River. For the first time this year, we aren't pulling the car behind us, and I have to say it does make a difference. Not so much in the travel itself, but the little things, like turns on urban streets, climbing steep hills, and backing into a campsite without having to disconnect first.
Since we stop at Maumelle Park on almost all of our outings, ther really isn't much to say. The fact that we didn't have the car in tow did mean we could get a different campsite than the one we usually get. After getting setup though, I looked across the woods and saw we were only about 50 yards away from it. Still, it gives a better woodsy feel. Our usual site is nice but there is a break in the trees that leaves it in the sun till an hour before sunset. We're in campsite E16 this time and the woods are so thick we were shaded as soon as we arrived.
We'll be back on the road again tomorrow heading South to Jimmy Davis State Park in Louisianna. I'll post again as soon as I am able. CHEERS!
